Scaredy-Cats

Me and Tyler need to stop watching scary shows before we go to bed. At night time we are both the biggest babies I know. I'm not kidding.

Take, for example, Monday night. I fell asleep way before Tyler like I do every night, but this time he woke me up and said, Brittney, someone is outside our window. If anyone knows me, you know not to wake me up once I'm sleeping. I am the grumpiest person alive when that happens. So I call Tyler a baby and that he needs to stop being so paranoid and stop watching scary shows and go to bed. Only, after I say this, I see the shadows he's talking about. Definitely looked like a person. So I said a little prayer in my head to help calm us both down so we'd be able to sleep. Right after I'm done praying, seriously something tells me to get out of the house now. So I tell Tyler and we're both shaking like crazy and he grabs a knife and we run to our car. If anyone saw us, they would think we were going crazy. Tyler had no shirt on holding a huge knife and I just threw on some clothes that didn't match at all.

We end up staying in a hotel that night because I was not coming back. I have never been more scared in my life. I was positive we were going to come back with the house broken into.

Turns out nothing happened to our house, and I really doubt anything would have happened if we stayed. All the doors were locked and the windows were closed, but we both had such an uneasy feeling that night. It was CRAZY.

Now me and Tyler sleep in the spare room because there's only one way in there and we lock the door and there's lights outside the window. Honestly, the biggest scaredy-cats in the world.

On a lighter note, Tyler took some pictures of me on the beach with my dress on. Here's a few he took!

In a Land Called Hanalei

When I was little my dad would always sing 'Puff the Magic Dragon' to me. Every night it was either that or 'I Was Born on a Wanderin' Star', so when I got to Kauai and I opened a magazine that read In a Land Called Hanalei, I got all excited thinking this was Puff the Magic Dragon's home. I googled it though, and it's not. Puff lives in Honah Lee or something like that, BUT it's still cool, I think.

Hanalei is this little town, and the only way you can get to it is by crossing a bunch of one-way bridges. Once you get there, I think it's the prettiest part of the island. It's here where the most gorgeous beaches are -- Tunnels Beach, the beach from South Pacific. Everything is just so pretty. We've been to Hanalei three times since we've been here.

We went there again yesterday, but first we decided to go check out Queen's Bath. This is what we saw when we got there.

I definitely didn't want to be number 30, and neither did Tyler, so we took some pictures, and headed to Hanalei!

Lobster Faces

Me and a bunch of friends went down to Hawaii once about a year after we graduated. We almost missed a couple of our flights, we lost our luggage, and we swam with the sharks. I think it's safe to say we had the time of our lives -- well I most certainly did!

One day me and Angela, I think, were walking back from the beach. We walked past a bunch of kids going on a school field trip or something, and every single kid in that line called me and Angela lobster faces. We might have been a LITTLE bit burnt!

Today, me and Tyler are lobster faces. We fried yesterday. It hurts me to even sit because my legs are so burnt. I love getting burnt. That means it will turn into a tan... right?

We went to Tunnels Beach yesterday. I HIGHLY recommend it to anybody who's in Kauai. I've come to realize this whole island is beautiful, but this beach was amazing. The beach was huge and the water was blue, blue, blue.

Hideaways Beach

So I know you guys are all dying to know what happened with the car. Everything got worked out! Phew! We took the expensive car back and got another car for SUPER cheap. Happy Days! It has a dent in it and makes funny noises and the AC doesn't work if we're not moving, but it was cheap! What more could you ask for?

We went to our first beach yesterday! Which is sad considering we were here for a whole day before that. The beach is called Hideaways Beach. We had to walk a mile to get there because there was no parking spots, and trust me, a mile in this humid weather almost killed me. I'm such a baby. We get to this little path we have to follow and we come across this sketchy stairway that is honestly pretty much straight up and down. I didn't take a picture of it, but here's one I stole from google.

It's even steeper than that it some parts, and half way down some of the railings just turn into pieces of rope. It was well worth the hike though! The beach was magical and hardly no one was there.

We tried going grocery shopping last night after the beach. Can someone PLEASE tell me how the heck you're supposed to shop for two people? I've never been good at grocery shopping, but we're really in a pickle because we have no money, and groceries cost so dang much! So, my four blog followers.... literally I have four.... who just all happen to be newly weds sort of, please enlighten me!

Mrs. Tyler Seaborn

Me and Tyler are married :) Oh, I just love him.
I can't wait for our pictures to come. Meghan has a little sneak peak of our wedding on her website. Go check them out, they're fabulous. http://www.meghanmaxwell.com/

We're in Hawaii right now, and it's a DISASTER SO FAR. Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating just a little bit. How can Hawaii be a disaster. We're in Kauai right now, and it's beautiful. I have never seen anything like this. Only it's raining, pouring actually. But it's supposed to stop on Thursday and it's just all sun after that.

It's beautiful

So about the disaster part, obviously me and Tyler are just two young stupid Canadians. We got to Hawaii just fine. We didn't miss a flight and we always pretty much knew exactly what we were doing in the airport, it's just once we got to Kauai at midnight Canada time that things started to get a little hectic.

We went to go get our car that we reserved on the internet. We were excited because we got it for real cheap. We get there, and it wasn't so cheap. I guess everything adds up. Everything costs money! And to make everything worse, our credit card wouldn't work. I knew it wasn't going to work because we had used it on the weekend, and the whole entire way to Hawaii I was trying to pay if off on my online banking, but it wouldn't work. It's never done that before. I've never had ANY problems. It's because we used it on Sunday the day before we left. That's what we get. I think me and Tyler both learned our lesson.

Anyways, so the girl that was helping us, who was the nicest girl ever, was like "it's okay we take debit," so that was a relief. I hand her our debit card, and obviously that doesn't work. Why would it right? Luckily, they have a ATM right there, so we told her I'd just go take cash out. Yeah, that didn't happen. Turns out you can only take $400 out every 24 hours. That wasn't enough money.

So then I phone my mom and tell her what happened and she gives me her credit card number over the phone. I'm thinking that this will work just fine, but we were having the worst luck ever, and they wouldn't take it without the actual card.

So we end up just paying for half of it. We were there for about two hours I bet, so we didn't get to our place until 2 o'clock Canada time. We were exhausted.

We have to go back tomorrow to pay for the rest, but our credit card is still not working. We don't know what to do!!
So, wish us luck and pray that everything will work out for us tomorrow. We're a little worried and stressed.

Besides this little episode, married life has been fantastic. I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with my Ty Baby.
Look how cute him and Travis are :)
I'm the luckiest.
